Daily Photo: Bronze “Statue”

Posted on:

Ahh, Boulder. This is where I first had a chance to break out the new camera and start working. I’ve seen a lot of street performers on Pearl Street Mall, but I had never seen one of those living statue folks until this weekend. Don’t you think she should have painted the frog bronze as well? It really bothers me that it’s green and plastic for some reason.
Will be utterly swamped with work for the rest of the week. Trying very hard to finish way too many freelance projects before starting the new job.

Street photography fascinates me. I’m not usually a very outgoing person, but taking other people’s photos in public means you have to develop a friendly demeanor pretty quick. You also learn to just be quick and stealthy. Last week in Portland, I set up on the fountain at the Saturday Market and just started shooting anyone who walked by who looked interesting. This kid just looked great. The shot’s not in perfect focus, but if anything, I think it helps here.
