I mis­tak­enly tweeted this morn­ing that I was stak­ing out a golden eagle.  I have a hard time telling imma­ture bald eagles from golden eagles at a dis­tance, but upon closer inspec­tion, I’m pretty sure this is a young bald eagle.  One of these days, I’m going to find a golden eagle! (The focus is a lit­tle soft here.  I had a night­mare of a time today with out of focus shots.  I think I need to stop using the 1.4x teleconverter.)
