In the past week, I’ve convinced Tony at Starship Sofa to podcast “The Kansas Jayhawk vs. The Midwest Monster Squad.” Dunno when that’s coming out, but I will post about it here when it does. It’s a favorite of my work for a lot of people.
Additionally, I sold 3 stories originally from the Daily Cabal to appear on Drabblecast, Norm Sherman’s excellent podcast that i’ve only recently become acquainted with. I’m also working on a little longer piece for them, revising something from the back catalog. We’ll see how that goes.
I really seem to be getting caught up in the world SF podcasting. I think I’m going to order a nice USB mic for my wife here this weekend. I’d like to see her recording more narrations for the Escape Artists family.
I just wanted to leave a quick note to nag you about getting health insurance! My short-term insurance lapsed through my own stupidity — should activate sometime mid-week.
Meanwhile I hurt my wrist badly on Friday night while working in the yard. Is it broken, or just sprained? I think it’s just sprained, but without insurance I can’t afford to go to the ER and get an x-ray to find out for sure.
Not so easy to earn a living writing when your dominant hand is out of commission — and sadly easy for that to happen.
Thanks. I do have health insurance, but it’s through my wife’s job, which she would like to leave to go back to school. So we’re not sure exactly what to do for insurance if I can’t find a job and she goes back to school.
I hope your wrists are okay. Are there any free clinics in your area? We have some around here where they could examine a wrist and determine if it’s in bad shape or not.
