I was chas­ing a beau­ti­ful hawk down a road as it flew low to the ground, sun­light hit­ting its wings in the most beau­ti­ful way. I wanted it to set­tle so I could try and take I shot. I can­not drive and shoot at the same time, unfor­tu­nately. But it got away, but it led me right to these guys. I spent the rest of the sun­set shoot­ing them. They never got quite as close as I would like, and this is the best shot from the day
