I am very proud of these shots of deer I took. I was on foot, hand shoot­ing, and fol­low­ing them the old fash­ioned way. I earned their trust by mov­ing at diag­o­nals, keep­ing things slow, and gen­er­ally not act­ing like a preda­tor. They kept their eyes on me but they didn’t bolt. It was an amaz­ing feel­ing, so dif­fer­ent from shoot­ing from a vehi­cle. I want to do more of it.
