This is the original Fort Collins water processing plant, the very first one here. Before it was built, all sorts of water-borne diseases were a problem in the area. I think it was built in the 1910s. It was closed up in the mid 80s. It makes me sad to see such a well-built building sitting in a valley all closed up. I want to restore it, make it a place to live or something. At the very least, can I go inside and do a model shoot pretty please?
For those of you looking for a desktop image of yesterday’s photo, go check out this image, which is of the same rock, but is in landscape. It’s missing the river rocks in the foreground, but it’s still pretty neat.
