I can no longer deny that autumn has arrived. It snowed a little last night, and rained most of the day. After my work day, I went for a walk and got caught in a pretty heavy rain shower, accompanied by thunder. The leaves were brilliant reds, oranges, and yellows against a grey blue sky. I had to admit, that yes, fall has arrived.

It was quiet and calm day, and then I got a phone call from Sarah saying that she had been in a car accident on the way home. That kind of ruined the evening. She’s okay. Sorting out repairs and insurance will be a pain, but luckily that is the worst we’ll have to deal with.

This is the “best” elk shot I got. It’s cropped to around 25%, and not a very sharp image, but it’s a good classic pose. I really want to get back down there before it starts snowing heavily and try again, but I just don’t have the time. The weekends, it’s apparently bumper to bumper in the park.

I need some kind of grant so I can take six months and focus on nothing but photography. Hahaha.

  1. Jeremy — gorgeous shot. It may be a classic pose, but it’s impressive nonetheless!
