Beetles are awe­some. Especially when cov­ered in pollen and sit­ting inside of a flower. I think today was the first day I was finally feel­ing pretty com­fort­able with the new cam­era, although macro pho­tog­ra­phy is really what I have the best luck with in gen­eral. today, I toted a flash out with me and my tri­pod to hold it, so I lit all these shots. It was too over­cast to use nat­ural light and get good depth of field any­way. Slowly but surely, I am improv­ing my macro pho­tog­ra­phy game. I really like this shot a lot.
