Let’s start this week off with some hilar­ity, shall we? (the title of this one just cracks me up)

So I went to Rocky Mountain National Park on Saturday morn­ing. When I left the house, it wasn’t my inten­tion, but I couldn’t find the place I was try­ing to visit (Bobcat Ridge) so rather than turn around and get direc­tions, I kept dri­ving until I hit the road to Estes Park. From there, it was just a 45 minute hair-​​raising drive up the canyon and into the park.

Estes has some amaz­ing views, but I am not much of a land­scape pho­tog­ra­pher. I’m there for the ani­mals. I saw exactly three species while there. Ground squir­rels, mag­pies, and elk. Lots and lots of elk. Dozens of them. So you’re gonna get some elk pho­tos this week. I hope you like them.
